A Message From the Executive
Submitted By pwiesner on Monday, October 24, 2016
On behalf of the newly appointed 2017 Executive Board.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the parting Executive members from the 2016 season for their dedicated service to our community and helping bring our baseball association to the level it is at now, specifically; Adam Kirilo, Devon Rowan, Shannon Brick, Natasha Grant, Larry Costa and Gary McKinnon.

With their departure and the creation of new executive positions, we are growing both in size as a league as well as members on the board.  I would like to take this opportunity to voice our commitment to bring you the best minor baseball experience we can AND to drive our ever growing membership to be the best, most fun and competitive experience as possible.

10 years ago this league started (again) out of the garage of a very dedicated family who envisioned a baseball experience that I believe we are at now!  In order for it to evolve even more, we need commitment from our growing town and membership.  Registration is now open (with an early bird rate).  Registering early allows us to forecast our numbers long before the season starts and to build the league around our kids (coaches, permits, purchasing, etc).

We are advocating for more playing space and just this week received news that the city has committed to building a brand new, intermediate (peewee) diamond behind the Glanbrook Arena, with the anticipated start date of mid summer 2017.

We presently have 3 fields (Edwards, The Fairgrounds and the Glanbrook Sports Complex) with 6 diamonds and know of our growing need for more.

With saying that, even though we are in the "off season" there is still lots of work to be done!  I make this promise to all of the membership,  that we, the Executive, will strive to give you all, the best baseball experience we can.  I also have an open door policy and encourage any member to reach out personally to me if  they have any concerns, questions or suggestions.  I can be reached directly at [email protected]

On behalf of the entire 2017 Executive we look forward to working with each and every one of our members for another successful season!
