2017 Indoor Winter Baseball Academy
Submitted By Administrator on Sunday, November 27, 2016

An indoor winter baseball academy will be running Sunday afternoons in January 2017 until the end of March, at the Binbrook United Church's lower gym located at 2623 Binbrook Rd (across the comic book store). The academy will provide an opportunity to players who are looking to further their baseball development during the winter months.

Instructors will be working on key baseball developmental points such as proper throwing mechanics, two & four seam throwing grips, crow hops, developing lateral range for ground balls, proper ground ball foot work, arm strength, proper baseball swing /weight distribution. Goal is to provide players an opportunity to engage in baseball activities during the winter while enhancing their baseball development. The academy is open to any player born from 2002-2010.

To provide the best learning environment and to best utilize gym space, registration for the academy will be set to 32 players. Two groups of 16 will be formed. Groups will be divided based on the player's age and developmental level. Two time slots will run, the first one from 3:30 - 4:45, the second from 4:45 - 6:00. The two groups will alternate between the two time slots.

Registration for the academy will be $150 per player and will include a Binbrook Bisons t-shirt. The academy will run from Jan 8th to March 26th for a total of 12 weeks, 15 hours of instruction. That works out to $10 an hour.

If interested please register to avoid disappoint as registration is set to 32 players.
