"Rally Cap" Tball is here!!!
Submitted By pwiesner on Wednesday, January 13, 2016
The Binbrook Baseball Association is happy to announce that for 2016 we are incorporating the Rally Cap Program into our Tball program... which means the kids will be learning the game as opposed to just playing it!

As The Binbrook Baseball Association grows, we continue to align ourselves with grassroots programs recommended by Baseball Ontario, Baseball Canada and The Long Term Athlete Development Plan (LTAD). For this up coming season, we are pleased to offer the introduction of the Rally Cap Program for players aged 4-6.  This will take the place of the traditional T-Ball Program which had been offered in previous years.  We still want to stress that the Rally Cap Program IS STILL TBALL, however better instructed and coached, in order to make our kids better ball players!

The Rally Cap Program is Baseball Canada’s Official Initiation Program.  This Program has been designed specifically for young baseball players and aims to increase interest in baseball at young ages.

Players participate in combined practice/game structured events while progressing through six skills levels.  At each level, they will earn a specific coloured badge to attach to their hat (White, Grey, Black, Green Blue and Red).

The Binbrook Baseball Association strives to reach four goals through the Rally Cap Program:

1. Create a fun environment in which children and adults are actively engaged together in the game of baseball.

2. Develop fundamental motor skills, teach baseball skills, and basic rules to our players.

3. Experience success with an emphasis on good sportsmanship.

4. Promote increased self-esteem among Rally Cap children and adults.

5. Recruiting new coaches and volunteers

We recognize that coaching is a fundamental element of young athlete development and this program makes the coaching experience easy and straight-forward for novice volunteers.  Small team sizes and pre-planned practice routines allow increased attention to players and their development.

All the materials, equipment and support necessary to provide a fun and engaging baseball experience will be provided to coaches.  Please contact us to register your child and/or as a Head Coach (Registration discounts will be applied to applicants)
