Blue Jays National Coaches Clinic
Submitted By pwiesner on Thursday, January 14, 2016
Great time... Great Experience!

This past weekend members of the Binbrook Baseball Association attended the National Coaches Clinic hosted by the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre.

This experience is offered to ANY coach across Canada in order to expand baseball fundamentals throughout each baseball organization.  The National Clinic is put on in part by Baseball Canada and covered everything from Pitching and Hitting fundamentals all the way up to Strength and Conditioning, Scouting and the Mental Side of the Game and off season practices  (and everything in between!)

The guest speakers included;

Buck Martinez - Catching
Tim Lieper - Coaching on the Bases
Duane Ward - Pitching
Lloyd Moseby - Outfielding
Rance Mulliniks - Infielding
Devon White - Base Running

Please see link below for all presentations

The coaches who attended will be able to bring back the experience learned to the BBA and be able to pass on the wealth of knowledge to the kids within the association.

Besides the vast baseball knowledge that was handed down, there was also a very cool component to the clinic... ALL coaches involved were allowed to partake in BP and fielding right on the field.  More amazingly a tour of the Blue Jays club house, training facility and other amazing inside looks of the Rogers Centre were afforded to these special group of national coaches.

More importantly, this clinic is put on every year and ANYONE can attend.  Please think about attending next year.  A group trip will be planned at the seasons end and we are going to try and make a coaches weekend out of it!
