AGM Oct 27th 6:30 pm
Submitted By Administrator on Thursday, September 24, 2015
Binbrook Baseball’s Annual General Meeting will occur on 6:30 pm Tuesday, October 27th at the Glanbrook Municipal Building, 4280 Binbrook Rd, which is across from the Glanbrook Arena.

The league has grown to a point where greater membership engagement is necessary for the league to not only sustain its vitality but to survive as well. Binbrook Baseball now has a rep program, a Bantam aged house league division, multiple parks to call home and will continue to seek greater areas of growth.

For the past few years, a very small core of the same individuals have taken the role of organizing league operations. It is no longer sustainable to have the same core individuals take on this responsibility. With this in mind, at this year’s AGM, a motion to change the constitution to expand the committee will be made so as to include the new titles of: Director of Sponsorship & Fundraising, Equipment & Purchasing, Website Coordinator & Media Relations, Registrar, Player Development & Baseball Operations, Umpire-In-Chief, VP of Houseleague and Rep Program Convener.

Expanding the committee will allow for the long term sustainability of the league by increasing membership engagement, allowing for greater efficiency and preventing volunteer burnout. If you feel like you can make a positive difference by standing for one of the new committee roles or one of the existing executive committee roles of President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer please fill out a nomination form here:

As a league we urge all members to attend the AGM and voice your opinions. The opportunity to shape the league that your child(ren) are playing in can occur by attending the AGM. The AGM is open to any parent who paid a registration fee for a child last year and to any individual who served in an official volunteer role.

The AGM will include a report from the league President, Treasurer and a report on the rep program. It will also include the motion to amend the constitution to include the new committee titles followed by committee nominations and voting. Councillor Brenda Johnson will also be on hand to hear how city services can aid minor baseball in the area.

We hope to see most of you at this years AGM.
